Communicating in Chinese - Listening and Speaking is part of a set of proficiency-focused textbooks. Together with the 'Reading and Writing' version, all four skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) are introduced to the learner, although these two books can be used separately and progress at different pace. The materials cover a variety of daily life needs. Task-based interactive classroom exercises are encouraged, with the Teachers' Activity book freely downloadable from the publisher's website (see 'Publisher's Link').
